Transition is HARD. Have you ever made a life transition and felt like it was absolute chaos? Maybe you moved, got a new job, started a business, ended something comfortable to begin something else—and now you are like fuuuuhhhhh what did I do?

Not enough credit is given to transition periods. You are in a new place, and even if you are excited/happy about it, it can feel untethering!

I will share with you that I have been struggling a bit lately in my own transition. I know in my heart deciding to keep my store Rebellia, was a good thing. But taking on SO much work for myself, trying to put new systems in place, while also trying to keep things up financially so it doesn’t go under- has been WOW over here.

There have definitely been some tears and some “Wtfffff did I do??”s.

I get to honor those feelings while also having a bit of grace for myself in the process. It’s SO normal.

You WILL get through to the other side. Embrace the stickiness. Give yourself love and space and time to get up to speed. You are shifting into your next level and in hardly any time at all, it will feel like home.

Are you afraid to try? Is there something your heart has been telling you that you desire but you’ve been too afraid to pursue? Or maybe you’ve been spending too much time trying to make it perfect?

Fear of looking stupid. Fear of not doing it right. Fear of judgment from others. Fear of failure.

We ALL have that first pancake babe. That awkward first draft. There’s no escaping it if you want to do something more, something different.

BUT I promise you it gets easier. The more you practice, the smoother it gets.

2 years ago I got on a huge stage in front of hundreds of women and spoke for a tiny 10 minutes using notecards 🤦🏻‍♀️ Last week I spoke at @strong.camp for 35 minutes using only my heart.

Push past the fear and just TRY. You may just get hooked and become amazing at it in no time 💖

I’ve been in the coaching space for awhile but recently moved from nutrition to guiding people through the internal work. There are a LOT of coaches out there— and I’m cool with that because there are a lot of people out there that could use the guidance.

BUT

A lot of coaches are just flying through a certification and bypassing doing the work on themselves. (Also newsflash— the work on oneself never stops.)

There’s a difference between KNOWING something and living it. Embodying it. Without that piece you can do more harm than good. And it creates a lack of trust for the industry as a whole.

There are a lot of amazing coaches of all kinds out there. If you want to be one, walk the damn walk.

For so long I identified as a fitness person without ever really feeling like I truly looked like one.

There were times I felt like people judged me for owning a fitness centered business without being a super strong competitive athlete, a huge fitness influencer and sometimes just not looking the part.

I allowed myself to feel less than, based on a perception of what other people MAYBE thought about me.

Have you done that? Felt bad about yourself while doing something you loved or maybe didn’t even do the thing because you were worried about what other people thought?

I kept going though. And now I’m here on the other side giving negative 300 fucks about that. I care about being genuinely healthy. I care about lifting because I love it and it makes me feel good no matter how strong or weak I am. I care about serving women especially when it results in them feeling good, confident & beautiful.

I am many more things than a fitness person but I still love the fitness space and all of the people in it. I still have a deep, deep desire to serve here. And no, I’m not done 💖

Women are drama. Women are catty. Women are too e

Women are drama.

Women are too emotional.
Women aren’t to be trusted.

Who has felt 1 or all of the above at some point in your life and maybe some of it now?

What about:

I like to keep my circle small
I know who my REAL friends are
I forgive (yeah right) but I don’t forget

What I’ve begun to realize is that society has truly conditioned us to keep ourselves separate from each other. It has a created a competitive environment where everyone is out for themselves. Unlike men who constantly advance because of who they know, more often than not we feel like we have to pave our own paths.

The truth is, you’ve hurt a lot of women, and a lot of women have hurt you. And you are short changing yourself a massive level up in personal growth, support, power and even money by keeping most women at a distance and insisting on doing shit alone.

This world would be a much, much better place if more women just owned their own shit and actively worked on healing their “woman wound.”

Me like a year ago: I don’t understand how I’ve been in the fitness space for years, am super consistent but my body comp isn’t changing 😩

My Hormones: 🙄🙃🤗

When your body is in crisis mode it’s not super interested in building muscle since it has more important shit to do. And when you try to cut, whelp, in a nutshell you just do more damage.

In this industry it seems like everyone wants to get super lean, lose fat etc etc and spend a ton of time cutting to get the aesthetic we constantly have shoved in our faces via social media.

For the last few years, no matter how hard I was working or how consistent I was being, I couldn’t get very lean when I tried to cut.
I also couldn’t get very muscular when I tried to bulk.

It baffled me how I could see such extreme transformations with people in such a short time when I had spent SO much longer working towards a goal. Not only was I frustrated but I also felt like a fraud. After a while I got over it and just accepted and loved my body as is.

It turns out that my hormones were in the actual trash, my gut needed healing and I was triggering an autoimmune response every time I ate gluten amongst other things.

Oh.

I’m no longer suuuuper attached to my physical appearance but now I’m interested to see what happens when I am at optimal health, and even more excited to see how I feel 🙌🏼

Take care of yourselves kids, you only have this one body. Love her ♥️

Thoughts as I scale back my boutique and fight against the idea that I’m a failure for not wanting to be like the Pink Lily & Vicis of the world.

I’m not.

I value freedom and I value serving the women I set out to serve.

That’s it.

You are NOT a failure for being small. For not wanting to compete. For not wanting to constantly “grind” and “hustle.” You get to do what makes YOU happy.

Put your blinders on and stay in your lane. Focus on what brings YOU joy and you’ll never fail 🖤
