I FOUGHT being a boutique owner for the longest time. I was always stressed. I was overwhelmed. I hated all the things that normal boutique owners love like buying & modeling. I was starting to get copycats. I worried about money constantly. I thought about quitting all the time. I didn’t feel like I was cut out for this business. I was all hustle, hustle, hustle while feeling like I was getting nowhere.

Then Covid came along and I lost my shit. I ugly cried like a mfer. I was REALLY scared we’d fail but I was also given a wide open door to get out if I wanted it. But I didn’t want it, instead of quitting, I woke up.

And I surrendered. I stopped acting out of fear. I started making decisions with my intuition. My to do list went from have tos to I GET TOs. I stopped worrying and started having more faith. It all got so much easier. I accepted that this is where I belong right now and if it all goes away tomorrow it’s OKAY because it’s not about what I do that matters, it’s about who I am.
When faced with failure, know this: YOU are the special sauce. Not the thing you do. Trust in you, and you can’t go wrong 💖

Loving your body isn’t a destination— it’s a practice.
It starts with STOPPING the negative bullshit you say to yourself when you look in the mirror.

Loving your body doesn’t mean you maintain perfection 7 days a week with your diet and kill yourself in the gym for at least 5.

It starts with being proud of yourself for even the smallest amounts of self-care, like moving your body more because it feels good, eating more veggies because nutrients are important and not beating the shit out of yourself because you had a couple pieces of pizza.

It starts with simply being KIND to yourself. Sometimes that means being really, really on your shit and other times it means taking time away because you need it. Only you know what that is.

Your relationship with your body is one that only you can understand. Why not treat her like a friend? Why not ask her how you can love her more? If you listen, reeeeeally listen, I promise, she will tell you 🖤

Friendly reminder that you don’t have to lose weight, be stronger, get fitter or change your body in any way to be worthy. You are worthy af NOW. As you are. You are perfect NOW as you are. And you are so loved by your body, whether you feel it or not 💖

THE BODY IMAGE TRAP
If you’ve been around awhile you know that I talk about body image a TON. I don’t consider myself an authority or expert on the subject, it’s just something I have struggled with my whole life and now that I have a pretty great relationship with my body & food I am feeling called to share that with all of you.

Maybe it doesn’t hit for everyone and that’s cool, hopefully we can still be friends 😅 But if it hits, I hope I can help you feel a little less alone here and maybe provide some tools for you to cultivate a better relationship with YOUR body 💖
