When I started the podcast last year I wanted a place where we could have casual conversations with amazing women. I didn’t JUST want to talk about fitness, but also business, and balance, and self-love, and health. I wanted the women who listen to feel like they aren’t alone and can strongly relate to the things my guests talk about.

I never thought I’d love podcasting as much as I do. There were lots of times where I wondered if anyone was even listening 🤣 but I kept showing up. Every single week I put out a new episode. Every single week I also showed up to turn my self-love emails into a bonus series. I constantly reach out to incredible, diverse women in hopes they’ll come on and blow your minds. It’s paying off.

So THANK YOU to everyone who listens, subscribes, reviews, and especially shares with your friends. We are on our way to a million!! Please keep sharing 🙏🏼🙏🏼

For those of you who give to everyone else and put yourself last and wear it like a badge of honor— know this:

NO ONE is getting the best of you.
You are operating at far less than full capacity.
When you pour into yourself, your ability to pour into others is greater.
Your capacity is greater.
When I show up for myself, I have 10x the energy to show up for others.
When I make time for joy, rest, down time & the shit that lights me up— I have so much more space for others.

There is no hustle, there is no scramble, there is no juggle. THAT is what true balance looks like. Putting on your own oxygen mask first, inhaling deeply— and then realizing it wasn’t even an emergency. That you don’t have to choose between yourself & others because when you CHOOSE YOURSELF FIRST— everyone else benefits. The others get taken care of.

There is no virtue in running yourself into the ground while you neglect yourself. Zero.
Start small. Start big. But more importantly just start NOW. #selfloveisthebestdrug

They say comparison is the thief of joy but you know what also is? Expectations.

When we expect— we attach ourselves to those outcomes. And when that outcome doesn’t happen, or turns out differently than we thought it would go— we get upset.

Sometimes we are so attached to that outcome we try to force something that clearly isn’t working or meant for us. And then afterwards when we finally get what was forced— we STILL aren’t happy, but we suck it up and stick it out because it’s what we wanted right?

It’s hard to go into something with zero expectations but it makes the outcome that much more beautiful. And if you set expectations and it doesn’t go as planned, look for the gift. It may not show up right away, but it’s there.

Today I had a brilliant idea for my business 💡
I also accidentally flung a half a cup of coffee across my office while on live video 😅😅 #balance
The life of an entrepreneur isn’t as glamorous as these sparkly joggers amiright?? 🤣 But really, know that even the most together people struggle. We make mistakes. We douse our very expensive backpacks with coffee. Owning a business (or two) is never easy, but I’ve learned that it doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be exhausting. It doesn’t have to feel like a hamster wheel.
And sometimes it just takes viewing that clumsily flung cup of coffee— as the price you pay for the amazing idea you get to have later 💖

I never used to think I had time.

Every goal I had, needed to happen as soon as possible. Everything had a due date. It set me up to either be super stressed or like I’d fail anyway so eff it. Every goal I hit, I was already looking ahead to the next one. I was always pushing, but never celebrating myself.

What an exhausting way to live 😩

As I embrace being #teamNoGoals I realized I have all the time in the world to set and achieve goals. Which led me to my decision to start reversing my calories so I can be eating as much as humanly possible while I maintain. I no longer am in a rush to cut or hit some sort of arbitrary measure of progress that really doesn’t matter.

Being happy NOW matters. Enjoying life NOW matters. Not “when” because there is no “when” if you don’t already have it now.

Take a beat. Remind yourself how amazing you are right here in this moment. Because you ARE. And realizing THAT fact is the only thing I hope you do quickly 🤍

I have to say, I’m in the best part of my fitness journey so far 🙌🏼 I like how I look and I don’t really have any goals other than to feel good and do what I actually enjoy.

I don’t feel the need to spend hours in the gym. I’m not trying to win at exercising. I don’t care about hitting PRs. I’m not worried about 5-6x a week, I’m cool with 3. It feels good to be here 🙌🏼

Also hubs and I just got a couple of @onepeloton, and they are soooo fun! If you’re on it, come find me—my handle is the same as this one. Just note I am as slow as a turtle running through peanut butter so don’t judge 😅🤣
